Happy Halloween to all our friends! We had a great, busy, day yesterday. We started the day off with pumpkin pancakes, of which the boys ates their fill. Later in the morning I took the boys trick-or-treating to Grandma Johnson's office, Papa's office & Aunt Suzy's office. They were a big hit where ever we went. Jackson was seen with a tear rolling down his cheek at times - mainly when he didn't get his way about something. He quickly perked up when he realized people would give him treats when he came into their offices. By the end of our first stop he was wandering into strangers offices & staring them down for candy! We went to Papa's new office for the first time & met his co-workers, all of whom were very nice. Papa likes showing his boys off. At Aunt Suzy's we met her bosses, dropped off the latest round of their logo design, and went to lunch at Applebee's (Thanks Susan!) Not surprisingly, after all the treats (I tried to limit them, I swear!), the boys didn't have much of an appetite. Susan & I had a nice lunch though! After the stops we headed home for a much-needed nap (for all of us). Dan only slept an hour, but that's better than nothing! Jackson slept longer, thank goodness. When Papa came home I went out & got a pizza for dinner. After we ate we dressed the boys back up & headed out for the rest of the evenings festivities. We stopped at Grandma & Grandpa Johnson's first & Trick-or-Treated a few of their neighbors, then we headed over to our ward boundaries for some serious candy gathering. We headed up one street in particular where a lot of ward members live. Daniel was so excited and kept asking to go to "another house." When they rang the bell or knocked on the door, they would stand right next to it & knock on the door until it was answered. Then Dan would say "Trick or Treat" and Jack would say "Treeee!" Jackson loved being able to pick candy from people's bowls. We got a lot of compliments on their costumes & I think they stayed warm since I put their jammies on under their pirate garb. After trick-o-treating we went to Uncles Craig's house to visit. Granny & Opa had made it up from St. George safe & sound, and Uncle Eric & his girlfriend Leia were there as well. Leia had little goodie bags for the boys filled with all sorts of great (non-candy) treats. We spent the rest of the evening there & headed home about 9 o'clock. We didn't get any trick-or-treaters (big surprise there), but that is okay. We had fun with our pirate lads.
