Yesterday as we were working in the front yard Daniel was sitting by Gary & tooted. He turns to Gary and says:
"It wasn't me, it was my bottom."
I thought it funny & blog-worthy. We dove in to our front yard plans this weekend. Eventually we will have two large flower garden areas. We plan on taking out some rose bushes, replacing others, and have planted two new trees. We started the first stage of one of the flower gardens this weekend. Eventually the garden will wrap around the front of the house from the walkway but for now it just goes along the walkway. We will do the next stage of that garden later, probably next spring. I planted the full-sun perennials (that I bought a week ago) in the bed. We plan to add to them, since it looks a little sparse right now. The flowers we put in tonight will spread out some too as they mature. I found some nice perennials with colorful flowers. Hopefully we can enjoy them for years to come. Gary also planted two Spirea bushes along the south side of the house. I had bought them for the flower bed, but did realize how big they got. So they got put along the walkway into the back yard instead. Now we are on the hunt for free river rocks and landscaping boulders for the front garden areas.

go to craigslist.org and click on free....there is a TON of river rock here in AZ not sure about Utah.
I know that my brother in law had a lot of the big rocks that would look good here or there in flower garden areas. He was looking to get rid of them but they're all the way down in Spanish Fork and they're quite heavy. The next best thing I would suggest is KSL. Craig lives on that website.
