Evan and I went to the pre-surgery class at PCMC last night. It was informative, though I doubt Evan learned very much. It helped me to be a little more familiar with the hospital and outpatient surgery process.
I got a call from the children's hospital this morning saying that they had to reschedule Evan's surgery. Ug. The only postponed it until Tuesday (it was scheduled for tomorrow), but I was counting on having Gary home over the weekend to help care for the other boys so I could give Evan more attention. And Gary's parents are in town and were going to watch the boys that morning. My emotions are a little screwed up now though - I was all set for this happening tomorrow and now we have to wait 3 more days. Oh well. At least they didn't postpone it for a month, right?

Brittany -- isn't that class helpful? We did it with Charlie, and while I don't know if he gained that much it helped me out a TON. Hopefully everything will go well on Tuesday, your poor little guy will be in our prayers. And it's probably better that they postponed it so he didn't have to starve in the waiting room ... although that doesn't make it any less stressful on you, huh?

I'm sorry the surgery was postponed. I hate it when everything is planned and going to work out well and then it all falls apart. I hope it all goes well.
Hang in there! I can't say I know how it feels but I sympathize with you. I would be on a huge emotional roller coaster if I was in your position. I'm sure your handling much better than I could. Call us if you need anything. Remember we're only a five minute drive away.
I'm sorry, I wish I lived closer so I could help out somehow. I'll be thinking of you two on Tuesday.
