We lost Max. He passed away last night after a brief illness. He got sick Friday and as he worsened we took him to the vet Saturday. The vet gave us some pain medication for him, but he kept going down hill. He wouldn't eat or drink & would vomit whenever we gave him his pain pill. I felt so bad for him. I am glad he isn't suffering any more but it is hard to lose him.
We got Max about six years ago. He was about two years old when we got him, so he lived to be eight (average for a pug). He was such a sweet little dog. He would love you to death and was always gentle with the boys, even when they weren't gentle with him. He was a great companion, always wanting to go everywhere with us. He lived with us in Utah, moved with us to Idaho, Arizona and then back to Utah. He loved to go camping with us, or just on drives in the car. His favorite past time was hunting for crumbs, or anything semi-edible. We will miss his little vacuuming ways. I can just see him wagging his little butt when Grandma Powell comes to greet him at the pearly gates.

That sweet face made me choke up! I'm so sorry for your loss. It's no fun losing a loyal friend like that.
Oh I am sorry! It is really hard losing a pet, and he sure looks like a sweet dog.
Oh and I love your fall decor it's so perfect. I want to do some decorating but I have to be creative.
I am so sorry to hear about Max. It is hard to lose a pet. Sounds like you have some great memories with him.
Ahhh....I'm sorry! I know that he will be missed. I hope the boys are doing okay with the loss. Big hugs to all!!!!
At least it was quick and not drawn out. I hope the kids understand. Noah still remembers Benson, that ugly pug we had for 4 days. :o) Still prays for him and everything.
So sorry to hear. Sweet dog.
How sad. I'm sure he's greatly missed. At least he had a great life while on earth. Not all pets are that lucky.
:( sorry for your loss.

Poor little Max. That was totally unexpected. Dad called me a couple days ago and told me about it. I will miss always hearing his whimpers during family get-togethers. Hope you are coping well! At least you still have that adorable kitten. Love ya :)
