Updates

I haven't been very diligent about blogging lately. I do have things to blog about, but they get overlooked. I'll try to get some of them down.
One, Daniel graduated from preschool. He was so cute singing his songs and is so excited to be a kindergartner now. Grandpa Johnson came to see him graduate, as did his brothers. Jackson just had to participate in singing the songs, even though he didn't know a word! They had a slide show of pictures from the year that was so cute. When ever the picture changed the kids would call out who was in the picture. Daniel got really excited every time he saw himself and would call back to me "Mama, that's me!" It was so cute. I can't believe he is going to kindergarten at the end of July. We are still on the waiting list for the charter school, but I am going to send him to the school here just in case he doesn't get in to the charter school. And even if he does get in, it may not be until the middle of the school year.
On Memorial Day we went to a BBQ at Gary's parents house. His brothers Craig, Russ and Eric were there, along with Russ's kids, Tammy and her kids, Leia and her Mom and Craig's son Jason. Jason is visiting from North Carolina. We haven't seen him for alomost 7 year so it is good to see him again. He is very tall - 6'7" I believe. We had to take a photo of all the boys for comparison. I wouldn't be a bit suprised if Dan is over six feet tall when he is grown.
Evan is walking like a pro now. He rarely crawls. It is so cute to see him toddling all over the place. He thinks it is great fun and is very pleased with himself.
Daniel started reading a little while ago and is doing so well. He is very good at memorizing words and sounding new ones out. I am so proud of him. He is such a smarty pants.
I have been keeping busy scrapbooking for my CT. I am really enjoying it and it is giving me a chance to catch up on past scrapbooking that needs to be done. I finally have my digi-scrapping blog looking the way I want it to. Designing and formatting it myself took some trial and error but I am very happy with the results. Someday maybe I'll redo this one. I was chose as Layout of the Day over at Brownie Scraps again too. If you want to see the page you'll have to head over to the other blog. I'm trying not to post scrapbook pages on the family blog, just photos.
In other family news, we sold our old van and bought a new one. It looks like our old one but it is a year newer, has more options and 40K less miles than the old one. It is also a Grand Caravan so it has some extra cargo room as well. That will be nice for camping this year.
