On Christmas Eve we visited with Granny & Opa, then went down to Temple Square with Grandma and Grandpa to see the lights. They were beautiful, as always, and it wasn't as cold as last year so that was a bonus! Grandma even let us use her work parking pass and we parked in the lot directly under the Main Street Plaza & exited right onto the plaza. The only real mishap of the right was Jackson walking into a steel pylon (the kind they put there to keep cars from driving down the plaza). He ended up with a scrape, but nothing more than that (thank goodness!)
After Temple Square we came home and let the boys open one gift each. They were new jammies and slippers. They were all so excited to get them on, leave cookies for Santa, and get into bed. Too bad they didn't stay there - Daniel set a new family record by waking up at 11:40 pm to see if Santa had come (he had.) He was not pleased when we sent him back to bed. Gary ended up having to lay in bed with him for an hour or so to get him to stay in bed and go to sleep!
